Craniotomies Can Now Be
Performed In Rock Hill
Utilizing the latest technology, instruments are continuously visualized relative to pre-operative diagnostic images, giving surgeons the ability to see beyond the surface of the surgical field using computer renderings and plan the incision with greater accuracy.

Carolina Neurosurgery & Spine Associates continue to expand the range of neurosurgical services available across the region by now performing craniotomies at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill.

Rock Hill resident Charlene Hall suffered from debilitating headaches until an MRI uncovered the need for surgery. She recently underwent a successful craniotomy at Piedmont Medical Center.

A dedicated surgical ICU for neurosurgical patients, a clinical nurse specialist dedicated to neurosurgery, and the addition of an advanced BrainLab surgical device, have made it possible for the neurosurgeons of Carolina Neurosurgery & Spine Associates to treat brain tumors, vascular abnormalities, and other intra-cranial targets in Rock Hill.

“Piedmont Medical Center has made a significant commitment to providing state-of-the-art care,” said practice neurosurgeon Mike Cowan, M.D. “With the combined resources of the hospital and the expertise of our neurosurgeons, the options available to patients in Rock Hill continue to grow.”
